Cute and Sweet Breakfast Sushi

Ingredient

  1. 2 burrito sized tortillas (can use whole wheat if you want)
  2. Banana Peanut Butter Version:
  3. 1 medium-sized banana
  4. 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
  5. 2 blackberries (quartered)
  6. Strawberry Nutella Version:
  7. 2 strawberries (quartered)
  8. 2 tablespoons of Nutella
  9. 1/4 cup Rice Krispies
  10. Fruit Dipping Sauce:
  11. 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  12. 1 tablespoon of water

Instruction

  1. Lay out the tortilla on a flat surface. Spread the peanut butter evenly over the entire surface of the tortilla. 
  2. Lay the peeled banana in the center of the tortilla. Roll the edge of the tortilla over the banana and keep rolling until the banana is enclosed. Make sure to roll tightly. If you are making these ahead of time, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator.  
  3. Once you are ready to serve, use a very sharp knife to slice the roll into 1-inch circles.  You should be able to slice about 6 to 7. 
  4. Lay them flat on a plate and top each one with a quarter of a blackberry. Enjoy!
  5. Lay out the tortilla on a flat surface. Spread the Nutella evenly over the entire surface of the tortilla. 
  6. Sprinkle the Rice Krispies over the entire surface of the tortilla.
  7. Lay the quartered strawberries into the center of the tortilla. Roll the edge of the tortilla over the strawberries and keep rolling until the fruit is enclosed. Again, make sure to roll tightly. If you are making these ahead of time, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator.  
  8. Once you are ready to serve, use a very sharp knife to slice the roll into 1-inch circles.  You should be able to slice about 6 to 7. 
  9. Lay them on a plate and serve. Use chopsticks for fun!
  10. Heat the strawberry jam and water together in the microwave for 1 minute, or in a small saucepan until just simmering.  
  11. Serve alongside the sushi for dipping.
