Cheesy Crockpot Tortellini Casserole

  1. 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
  2. 1 (26-ounce) jar pasta sauce
  3. 1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes (undrained)
  4. 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  5. 1 (16-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  6. 1-1/2 cup shredded pizza cheese OR grated Parmesan cheese


  1. Cook the sausage in a heavy skillet over medium heat until browned, about 10 minutes. Stir the sausage frequently to break up as it cooks.
  2. Drain well and place in 4 to 5-quart slow cooker. Add the pasta sauce, tomatoes, and Italian seasoning and stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours. Then stir in the tortellini, cover again, and cook on low for 20 to 40 minutes or until the pasta is tender and heated. Sprinkle with cheese and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
